PasswordPod Quick Start Guide
To get you started, follow these
easy steps to using PasswordPod:
1
Start PasswordPod. You'll see the main window appear along with a red padlock in
the system tray on the bottom right-hand side of your screen:

2
Click on the green key
on the toolbar and choose the location and name of the file
in which your secure data should be
stored:
3
Now choose a suitable master password:
When you click on the OK button, you will see that
the padlock in the system tray is now green, meaning that you have access to your (empty) secure data file:
4
Open Internet Explorer, browse to a web page containing a form and
enter some details, then press the
button on the toolbar. This creates a new
record in PasswordPod containing the details you entered on the web page:

5
You can close the PasswordPod window if you wish (click on the
on the top right-hand side of the window). The program will still be running in
the background and you can access it using the padlock in the system tray.
6
Now close the browser window, open a new one and browse to the same web page
again. The details you provided
before are automatically filled in and the corresponding
record is automatically selected in the PasswordPod main window. If you closed the
main window at step 5, you can double-click the green padlock in the system
tray to show the window.

Note: PasswordPod will lock your data after 30 minutes of inactivity and the padlock
will turn red, meaning that you will have to enter your password again to access your data. If you want,
you can change this behaviour later via the preferences window.
You can see an overview of the program in an online video demo. Just click through to
the Video section on the website.
