USB Secure Data Sync

To display the USB Sync dialog, press the Sync Secure Data Files button on the toolbar.

USB Sync Dialog

The USB Sync dialog provides a convenient way to synchronize secure data files between a PasswordPod installation on your computer and an installation on a USB flash drive. If the USB flash drive is inserted in the computer, the dialog will provide the option to replace one of the files with the other. To help you decide what to do, the most likely direction of transfer is selected by default based on the timestamps of the two files. There is also a comment summarizing the status of the files.

If you choose to replace the secure data file you are currently using, the data will be locked before the file is replaced and you will need to unlock it again if you want to continue using it.

You can choose alternative files to synchronize by clicking on the browse buttons next to the file paths on either side of the dialog box.

In the options dialog box, you can choose to be notified automatically if a synchronization is necessary as soon as you insert a USB flash drive that has PasswordPod installed on it.
